It encompasses Klang Valley region including Petaling Jaya, Damansara, TTDI and Bangsar
The community is headed by Yvette Mah and Doreen Cheong. We want to create communities and get to know our neighbors. It is more fun to go to events with your friends.Our vision for communities is a regional grouping by area in KL/PJ. We plan to have weekly activities like hikes, mall walks, park walks, ping pong, aqua exercises , Taichi, makan, pickleball, badminton , etc in your area of town. These activities are planned by local community leaders for the local area.
On Wednesday, 4 March 2026, a vibrant group of 24 seniors from the SeniorsAloud (SA) community converged at the Masjid Jamek LRT station for a groundbreaking musical and cultural tour. Dressed in unified red to celebrate the lingering spirit of Chinese New Year, the group transformed the station concourse into a lively concert hall as Christy Chang and showstopper Daryln Goh performed a diverse repertoire ranging from Beethoven to ABBA. Commuters were pleasantly surprised as the seniors “let their hair down,” swaying and singing along to favourites like “Top of the World” and “The Moon Represents My Heart,” demonstrating that the “People’s Piano” is a powerful tool for community connection and ageless joy. The celebration of shared humanity continued beyond the station with a hearty Punjabi breakfast at Jai Hind, where the group enjoyed a treat and a warm meeting with the owner, Mr. Bhoopender. The morning concluded with a reflective visit to the iconic and newly upgraded Sultan Abdul Samad building, where the group stood as a testament to active ageing and national pride. This successfully executed event not only humanized the daily commute but also served as a call to action for more public spaces to be enlivened by the talents and energy of Malaysia’s growing senior population.
