SeniorsAloud got off to a roaring start with the launch of our 2020 Calendar featuring inspiring seniors as role models of active, healthy living. Fortunately, we were able to sell most of the calendars before MCO started, thanks to the team, members and friends who sold for us or bought from us. From the proceeds we were able to contribute toward the purchase of 70 new mattresses and pillows for abandoned elderly at Tong Sim Senior Citizens Care Centre.
SeniorsAloud did a full photo session for The Star for a series of articles that were published in early January 2020. We were glad to help raise awareness of issues involving senior citizens.
30 SeniorsAloud members had an enjoyable and entertaining evening at the Kebub-Kebun Bangsar Concert at Menara Ken, TTDI on 5 January 2020, thanks to Irene Qi Fang for the invitation.
On 11 January 2020, we visited Aurel Sanctuary at their invitation. It is an exclusive retirement resort that is currently being developed in Bukit Tinggi. We were very impressed with the facilities and the hospitality shown to our group. We also listened to a talk by Dr Rajbans Singh on healthy ageing.
